In this work the authors present some preliminary results concerning the feasibility of the HIL testing of degraded adhesion conditions over a roller rig, with a particular attention to the innovative features of the Italcertifer Osmannoro Test Rig, which is currently in the acceptance testing phase. In this paper a complete three-dimensional model of the rig including an innovative 3D contact model especially developed for wheels and rollers contact and some characteristic features of the tested vehicle are used to verify the stability and the robustness of new control layouts in different operative conditions, considering as benchmark for the proposed case study, the specific features of the Osmannoro Test Rig which have been designed as an open experimental platform, easy customizable to fit different testing specifications.

Abstract
In this work the authors present some preliminary results concerning the feasibility of the HIL testing of degraded adhesion conditions over a roller rig, with a particular attention to the innovative features of the Italcertifer Osmannoro Test Rig, which is currently in the acceptance testing phase. In this paper a complete three-dimensional model of the rig including an innovative 3D contact model especially developed for wheels and rollers contact and some characteristic features of the tested vehicle are used to verify the stability and the robustness of new control layouts in different operative conditions, considering as benchmark for the proposed case study, the specific features of the Osmannoro Test Rig which have been designed as an open experimental platform, easy customizable to fit different testing specifications.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
